First Windows 11 ISO has also leaked

Windows 11 Wallpaper Lines

When it rains, it pours! After getting the first taste of Windows 11 via a couple of leaked screenshots, we now have ISOs of the new operating system make their way out.

These ISO images are for Windows 11 build 21996.1, and enable users to take a look at the upcoming OS for themselves. The files are available on the web if you look hard enough — and that means taking a gander at the dark nooks and crannies of the internet.

You know, torrent sites and such.

But the ISO is of the same build from which the images first surfaced.

This particular build seems to have been last updated on May 30, and chances are that more changes have been made to the operating system since then. As for what we have now, we do know that Redmond has borrowed a great deal from the now defunct Windows 10X variant.

The setup process confirms the Windows 11 name, and suggests that the software giant will be sticking to the usual Home and Pro SKUs of the new operating system.

Why change when things work this well, right?

Microsoft is gearing up to officially unveil the new OS at a virtual event on June 24, and the company will likely keep working on it until then. The more interesting question is whether we will get our hands on a newer build before the event?
