Skype finally has a fresh look on the desktop, and as you would expect, this new design is totally inspired by Windows 11. You know, rounded corners and all that jazz.
Microsoft just rolled out an update for its VoIP communication platform for Windows, Mac, Linux, and the web. Skype has now been updated to version 8.78, while its iOS and Android versions also received an update with their own additions.

But on the PC side of things, the update brings a modern interface to the desktop and web versions of Skype, including a refreshed design and rounded corners. Also included are new color options and larger avatars.
In addition to the new messaging experience, Skype is also getting a refreshed calling experience alongside new screen sharing options. The update also fixed some issues with screen sharing, as well as a bug that caused the app to crash when sharing photos.
The mobile versions, on the other hand, gain a new search bar and the option to have notifications moved to the bottom of the screen.
