Surface app updated with new color assets

Surface Devices Colors

Microsoft has rolled out a new update for its Surface app that is available on Windows 11 and 10, adding several new features to the official application for its line of hardware devices.

Interestingly, while this version of the app is high on features, there are no fixes and improvements in this release. Quite contrary to the previous update that Microsoft pushed to the app that was light on new additions and high on touchups.

The version number you are looking for is 61.6067.139.0.

This latest bump to the Surface app includes support for color assets for all Keyboard and Mice, a new purchase experience via Live support chat, as well as a few handy changes to the tail click button experience.

That is all there is, as mentioned in the changelog for this latest release.

If you are unaware of what this official Surface app is, it is an application that comes preinstalled with the device. Owners of the machines get easy access to a range of useful information about the model number of their Surface units, alongside the warranty, and other important details.

Needless to say, this app is exclusive to Surface hardware, meaning you cannot install it on computers that do not carry this logo.

If you are a proud Surface owner, then you can visit the Microsoft Store and check for latest updates for this new release to show up automatically on its own.
