Windows 11 build 25126 improves account settings

Windows 11 Build

Insiders, assemble! A new Windows 11 build has landed in the Dev channel of the preview program. Build 25126 may be a small release, but it brings along a handful of improvements.

This is from the Sun Valley 3 development branch, which will eventually become the version of the OS that is released in 2023.

The new build adds plenty of new changes and improvements on top of bug fixes. In fact, Microsoft calls it a good set of fixes. The most notable one takes care of an issue that may have caused some Windows Insiders to experience rollbacks trying to update to the latest Dev channel builds.

But let’s circle back to the changes and new stuff.

Back in October, Microsoft introduced a subscription management feature in the Settings > Accounts page in Windows 11. This new build makes now it easier to view your subscriptions for Office 2021 or Office 2019. It is done via the “View Details” button.

All supported Microsoft 365 Office products licensed to your account are shown in this panel, and you can not only view details but also install Office via here.

Do note that this feature is a slow rollout, so you might not end up seeing it right away.

Back to the fixes, there is a long list that the company has compiled. You can collect all the information you need from the announcement post.

Known issues include two main things this week.

First is the fact that some games that use Easy Anti-Cheat may crash or cause your PC to bugcheck. And then there is also the case where certain apps in full screen mode like video players prevent live captions from being visible. A problem where applications relaunch behind live captions is also present.
